Red Hot Chili Peppers band photo tee with a (c) 1998 Red Hot Chili Peppers copyright line printed under the front graphic. This is a thrashed, faded, well-lived-in piece, and honestly that's why we love it.
FRONT: red "RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS" lettering over a large black-and-white style band photo.
BACK: big red circle logo with the band name around a large asterisk.
THE LOOK (the best part):
The shirt has faded to a warm tan / camel with a brownish cast, and the print has cracked and flaked all over, especially the white lettering on the back logo. The collar is frayed, torn at the left shoulder, and there are small holes across the body. All of it comes from years of wear, not from a factory. For us this heavy, natural wear is exactly what makes it special. If you like thrashed vintage tees with real character, this is one for you.
CONDITION (photos are part of the description):
- Large frayed tear/hole at the collar and left shoulder, the dark layer underneath shows through
- Collar rib worn thin with small holes along the edge
- Small scattered pinholes on the lower front
- Print cracked and flaking, fading and staining overall
- Neck tag is missing (only faint ink remnants inside the collar)
- Thin, soft fabric. Best for collecting, display, layering or restoration, not hard daily wear
- No repairs done
REAL OR FAKE? (honest note):
We can't confirm whether this is an original 1998 shirt or a later reprint. The 1998 date is the copyright printed on the shirt, not proof of when it was made. In its favour: natural-looking cracking, fading and wear, and construction details that fit the late 90s. Against certainty: the neck tag is gone so we can't check the blank, and we haven't found this exact design in public archives. We are not claiming it is 100% authentic. Please judge from the photos and price accordingly.
